More Visitors

My cousin Shannon came out to visit us this weekend, and Hannah enjoyed showing her the sites around Vancouver and Seattle :) We spent most of Saturday in Vancouver walking around the city, and found a great little Indian restaurant. On Sunday, Matt joined us and we drove down to Seattle for the afternoon. We visited the aqaurium and the Pike Place Market before heading back home. We made a stop in Lynnwood for dinner at Claim Jumpers - - note to all parents: Claim Jumpers is SUPER baby/kid friendly!! They had plastic placemats that stuck to the table, and gave us a free plate of Hannah-friendly food (deli meat, cheese sticks, applesauce). Shannon had to leave the next morning, but we are so glad she could stop to see us while she was out here!

Here are a couple of pictures of Hannah enjoying the Seattle Aquarium.

OWLY Halloween Party

Hannah always helps out at OWLY (youth group), but this past week she REALLY helped - - the kids were dressing each other as mummies, and Hannah just couldn't resist the call of the toilet paper!
Unfortunately, sometime during the evening our digital camera was injured beyond repair (don't worry, we've already ordered a replacement), and we are using Matt's camera for a little while (film - oh my!). So pictures might be a little slow in coming for the next couple of weeks. . .

Stoney Ridge Farm

Hannah and Mommy met some friends at Stoney Ridge Farm to visit with the animals and play with some pumpkins. Hannah had so much fun waving HI! to everyone who walked by (and kept waving even when nobody was there. . . . ). And she loved the hay ride in the covered wagon ALMOST as much as her friend Noah, who didn't want to get off :)

She had fun playing in the pumkin patch.
And picking apples was a good time, too!
Finally, pumpkins just the right size :)

Building a fort with Daddy

Matt used the couch cushions to build a fun fort for Hannah to crawl through and she LOVED it!

Playdates are Fun!

This past week we got together with some friends and had a blast playing and making Halloween decorations. It's so neat to watch these little guys interact with eachother - at one point Hannah and Amariah were having a fun conversation about, well, who knows what it was about! But they took turns talking to one another just like grown-ups :)

Terrace, Isabella, and Noah hard at work.

Hannah was more interested in peeling things off than sticking them on the pumpkin :)

As soon as craft time was over, it was time to PLAY! Isabella was so sweet to share all of her toys with her friends!

All good things must come to an end

Some of us had a hard time saying goodbye when it was time for our visitors to pack up and go, but we know we'll be seeing them all again in just a couple of months :)

Hero snuggled with Grandma Jan (who spoiled her by letting her run free around the house wa-a-a-a-ay more than usual - what are Grandmas for?!).

Bella held their luggage hostage - either that or she was trying to pack herself up to go to Minnesota. . . . . .

Hannah and Grandpa Gehry spent some quality time on the couch - Awww, so sweet!

Hannah warmed up to Great-Grandpa Blake after a couple of days, and she even let Great-Grandma Paula read her a bedtime story on their last night here. Unfortunately, I realized too late that I didn't get any pictures of them! So if one of our visitors got some shots they would like to share with me, I would appreciate it!! :) .... Thanks, Grandpa Gehry and Grandma Jan for sending the picture....

Fall Visitors

Matt's parents and grandparents are staying with us for the week, and we have had so much fun visiting with them and watching them play with Hannah! Today we went to McPhail's berry Farm to see the pumpkins, and Hannah played with some of the animals. After that we went for a short visit to the Lynden Park where Hannah gave Grandma and Grandpa the grand tour of the tot lot :)

Weee-eeee-eee! Hannah loves being UP in the air!

As always, Hannah loved the swings. . . .
. . . . and she loved her trips down the slide!

But really, nothing beats eating leaves! :)

9 Months Old

After several days of trying to get a cute 9 month picture, we finally got one - - Hannah's just too busy to sit still long enough for anything like a photo shoot now :)

What a busy girl!

Hannah has been on the go for the last couple of weeks! She never seems to get tired of exploring the house, and has been showing me how independant she can be by crawling out of sight and bringing back random things she finds on her expeditions :) (like socks from the basket in the hall). Her new favorite thing to do is to walk holding on to my hands, and it's ALL she wants to do for MOST of the day. I'm having so much fun watching her grow and learn - it's amazing to me that this active little girl was newborn just 9 short months ago!

She is such a ham! As soon as she sees the camara, she's all smiles :)

I've found her playing under the kitchen chairs a few different times - I get the feeling she's just biding her time until she can build a fort!

We stopped at the play area in the Cascade Mall while we were out shopping, and Hannah showed Daddy how much fun you can have there. . . .
. . . . so Daddy showed her how much fun her new toy could be :)

The ladies at Craft Group love spending time with Hannah, and she loves helping them with their crafts!
