Hannah's One!!

It's true - she's one year old now, and a toddler in every sense of the word! She likes to be independent and doing things for herself, and has become increasingly stubborn (Daddy says she's strong-willed) when it comes to walking where SHE wants to go and planting her feet when she wants to stay put and Mommy wants to keep going. Hannah's officially walking more than crawling - - this morning she was still crawling quite a bit because it's faster, but by bed time she was cruising all over the place on just two feet :) I have noticed that as she gets more independent and adventurous about exploring on her own, she also becomes more snuggly and cuddly when she finds her way back - something I am loving!
It's amazing to me how much Hannah has changed and grown over the last year - she has learned so much, and is learning more every day :) Matt and I are so blessed to have her as part of our family!

Party Time!

This morning we had some friends over to celebrate Hannah's birthday (again). She was so excited to see her friends again after our trip, and didn't even seem to mind sharing her toys with them :)

Hannah got some fun new presents, including a doll stroller that was a hit with her AND her friends!

Always happy about the idea of eating cake!

Look, all gone!

It was a fun day and we were happy that Hannah could share it with some of her friends. Thanks, Steph for taking pictures!! :)

I know these aren't really "birthday" pictures, but I thought they were too cute not to add!

If you ask Hannah where her hat goes, she always puts it on her head, but she can never actually get it to stay on - until now!

Hannah got some adorable new barrettes from her Aunt Kari, and liked them enough to leave one in for most of the day (rather than yank it out as soon as I clip it in).

More Presents!

After getting back home, Hannah discovered that there were a couple more birthday presents waiting here for her . . . .

More little people!!

And a guitar from Grandma and Grandpa Sower - Hannah can't wait to try it out!

PS - After I posted the smilebox scrapbook with our MN pictures, I realized that you can't get pictures OFF of there. . . . oops! So if there are any that someone wants, just let me know :)

A Minnesota Christmas

We went back to Minnesota shortly after Christmas and had a chance to visit with family and celebrate Hannah's first birthday. Hannah did well on the airplane, and started walking around while we were at the Salt Lake City aiport! Unfortunately, not too long after we got to my parent's place, Hannah got sick as a result of some serious teething (no fun!!), so she was unhappy about almost everything for a good chunk of our visit. Overall the trip went well, but it was too short - so we have already started planning an extended visit towards the end of May. Here is a look at our Christmas and Birthday celebrations from Minnesota - enjoy!
