Swimming Fun

This morning we met some of Hannah's friends for some fun at the pool. The kids had a blast splashing, jumping, and floating around - not to mention dumping buckets of water on a certain Daddy's head :)

Hannah was super excited about riding around on the "boat"
She gave Patrick a quick lesson on the best way to get her Daddy all wet
1...2...3...JUMP! Ok, just sit down and slide in then. . . . :)
Weeeeeeeee!

Snow!

It's crazy, I know, but this afternoon Hannah was playing in the snow! :) We had thought the snow boots were put away for the season. . . . . .

2 Months Old

I can't believe Michael is already 2 months old!! He had his check up today and the doctor confirmed what we already knew - he is growing like a weed! Our little man is 24 1/2 inches long and weighs 13.3 pounds. He has started smiling at us, and he definitely has a set of adorable dimples :) He has also discovered his fingers and likes to taste them whenever he gets a chance. When not sleeping, Michael is alert and examining everything around him. He loves to "talk" and coo, and is a big fan of listening to music. Tummy time has been going well, and he holds his head up like a champ :) Overall, Michael is a happy baby - especially when things are going his way and someone is holding and adoring him!

Valentine's Day

Hannah had some friends over last Friday for a Valentine's Day party. They had fun eating snacks and chasing the dog around the back yard :)

We were all thrilled to meet Noah's baby brother Treston - Isabella was so excited to hold him!

Hero couldn't have been happier when the kids joined her in the back yard for a game of chase!

These aren't actually from valentine's day - but they make me happy, so here they are! :)

Michael SLEEPING! He's gotten to be so alert when he's awake, and loves to look around and examine everything. And now that he's doing so much better at night, I've noticed more of a schedule appearing during the day - he usually takes two longer naps (one in the morning and one in the afternoon) with several catnaps in between. He's been busy eating and growing - he knows his job and he does it well! :)
Hannah thought Michael needed some company in his bouncer, so she shared one of her babies with him. Say it with me - Aaaawwwwwww!

Hanging Out At Home

Sorry for the lack of pictures lately! Life with two has been busy, busy, busy and I haven't taken as many pictures as I would like. . . . . . With all of our visitors gone and Matt back to work, the kids and I are finally settling into a daily routine - yay!

We had some issues with Michael being colicky and not sleeping very well (which meant that Mommy wasn't sleeping very well!), but thanks to a great tip from a friend, and the purchase of "The Miracle Blanket", all of that has worked itself out - - yes, that really is the name of the blanket, and yes, it really does work miracles!! (Thanks again Rachel!!) Michael is a much happier baby now, which has Mommy and Daddy thrilled! He's also finally letting us put him down for short periods of time without screaming about the injustice of it all :)

Hannah has adjusted well to being a big sister, but not so well to being two! In typical toddler fashion, she has taken to throwing herself on the ground kicking and screaming for reasons only she can understand. . . . for example: "I threw my sippy cup on the floor but I still want it in my hands but I must absolutely not bend down and pick it up so I will throw myself down in a monster temper tantrum instead". It's truly lovely! Luckily, being that she is only two and has the attention span of an ant, we can usually distract her and cheer her up without too much drama! :)

While enjoying some tummy time this morning, Michael decided to take a little snooze. . . . . .

Hannah helped Mommy make pasta for dinner the other night by "cooking" the noodles in a tupperware dish full of water and generously sprinkling oregano into the mix - yum!
