3 Months

It's hard to believe that Michael is already 3 months old!! He's become such a happy baby - he loves to smile and giggles at the slightest hint of being tickled! He loves his big sister and always has big grins for her when she helps me get him up from a nap, or when she reads stories to him. Michael is not spitting up nearly as much as when we first brought him home, so he's finally getting to spend a little more time on his tummy and can do baby push-ups for us :) He enjoys going for walks in the stroller with Hannah next to him for entertainment, and he does a great job hanging out in the Moby wrap during Hannah's toddler class. He's a little more high maintenance than Hannah was at this age, and still definitely prefers being held and cuddled to anything else! We are so blessed to have this little guy in our lives :)

I Love to Read!!

Hannah has always been a bookworm, and is happy to read books either with Mommy and Daddy, or all by herself. She even reads stories to her stuffed animals when she's in her room at naptime! :) But we'd never seen her animals reading books by themselves - until now. Imagine our surprise one afternoon when we found a book propped up on the chair . . . . . . .

. . . . and then again when we peeked behind the book to find Hannah's beloved "Bear Bear" reading Winnie-the-Pooh! I guess it only makes sense that her favorite toy would love her favorite book :)

Hannah is also a big fan of reading stories to Michael, and he loves listening to them!

Your Personal Penguin

Hannah and Michael have a new favorite book - "Your Personal Penguin" - and aren't we lucky that it comes with a song!! :)
So, for everyone's listening pleasure, here is Davy Jones asking to be your personal penguin:

Look What I Can Do!

When I went to get Hannah up from her nap this afternoon, she was very excited to show me her newest accomplishment - doing pull-ups on the rod in her closet!! Needless to say, the clothes got moved to the higher rod and the bottom rod was removed. . . . . But not before we got a couple of cute pictures of our monkey in action!

Look, Mommy!

Getting Daddy in on the action.

Working out together - They can both successfully hold up a 30 lb wiggly toddler!
Stealing the closet rods away from Daddy to use as drumsticks.

Michael thought all of the shenanigans were great entertainment!

Adventures in Playland. . . . .

I've mentioned before that Hannah has the attention span of an ant - here's why! After a fun morning playdate and a good afternoon nap yesterday, we spent some time before dinner hanging out in the playroom. In the span of 30 minutes, Hannah had played with MOST of the toys in there, and shown Michael and I her latest dance routine :) Here is just a fraction of our afternoon. . . . . .
Little people are always fun - and usually the first and last thing that get played with on any given day.

Then on to some building fun.

Weeeeeeee!

Helping Michael get settled into his saucer - she did a great job of showing him how the animal buttons worked :)

Michael's first adventure in the saucer - he loves being held upright, and got a big kick out of being in here. He especially loved the animal sounds, and his face lit up every time the music started!

Not to be left out of any family activity, Jule found her own cozy spot in the playroom - she has been on the lookout for strange napping spots lately and we have been finding her everywhere!

Playdates - The Next Generation

Hannah's playgroups are expanding at a rapid pace as all of the Mommies have their babies - and it has added a whole new dimension to the playdates we have been having! This morning we met up with some friends for some playtime and lunch, and it wasn't just the big people oohing over the new babies :)

Terrace read Michael a story

Hannah gave Michael and Treston each a babydoll to hold on to - Treston's big brother Noah said that he didn't want the doll, but Michael kept his close by!
Noah kept an eye on Terrace while she took care of the babies - covering them up with blankies and putting their pacifiers in their mouths.

Giggles!

Michael was giggling up a storm this morning while Mommy made funny faces at him :)
