Family Vacation

We finally did it - - We went on a vacation that didn't include visiting Minnesota! Instead, we drove to Yellowstone and made a pit stop in Montana to visit our friends Lib and Brad :) We left on Saturday night around Hannah's bedtime hoping that she would sleep in the car, which actually worked pretty well. Our first stop was in Big Sky, Montana at the condo that Lib's family was kind enough to let us use for our trip. After resting up for a day, it was on to explore Yellowstone. There was no shortage of animals roaming the park, and I'm pretty sure we saw the same heard of elk, in the same spot, about 4 times in 2 days :) We spent one night at a hotel during our trip, and Hannah had a blast playing in the pool! After our second day exploring the park, it was back to Big Sky for a night and then on to Great Falls. We had a great time staying with Lib and Brad for a couple of days before it was time to make the drive back home. Our trip was a blast, but I think we were all ready to get home and sleep in our own beds :)

The day before we left, Hannah and Mommy took a relaxing nap together. Once we got on the road, Hannah made the most of her makeshift bed.

Hannah checking out the condo before conquering the world of bison!

Hannah had fun exploring Yellowstone. . . .

Animals everywhere!

The pool was so much fun! But staying up late to play has its pitfalls - like sleeping through a walk around the springs.

She woke up in time for the lo-o-o-o-ong walk down the mountain to see the lower falls - luckily Daddy carried her most of the way down and back up :)
Waiting for Old Faithful - Hannah kept herself and the people around us entertained by playing with her new stuffed bison.

Hannah got her very first piano lesson from Lib.
She also played a rousing game of peekaboo with herself in the mirror, and snuggled with brad on the couch.

It amazes me how much personality is coming out already - just look at how she told us she didn't appreciate the lunch we made her! :)
